| Roberto Feo [Spain] |
Roberto Feo pursued studies in sociology and social anthropology at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, studied furniture design at the London College of Furniture and completed his MA in furniture design at the Royal College of Art in London. Since 1999 he is a principal lecturer at the Design Products Department of the Royal College of Art. He is also a Senior Design Research Fellow at Kingston University and a guest professor at the HFBK in Hamburg. In 1997, Feo and partner Rosario Hurtado founded El Último Grito Studio, with offices in London and Berlin. Their work researches our relationships with objects and culture, exploring them across disciplines through art installations and commercial projects for clients such as MAGIS, British Airways, Marks & Spencer, Museo Reina Sofía, Mathmos, Nola, Lavazza, and Abet Laminati. El Último Grito’s work has been widely published and has received multiple awards. It is represented in the collections of museums such as MoMA in New York, Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Stedlijk Museum in Amsterdam, and Kulturhusset in Stockholm. |

| Stephen Burks [USA] |
Stephen Burks is one of the most recognized American industrial
designers of his generation. He and his New York studio,
Readymade Projects, have been responsible for creative
direction and design strategy on projects ranging from
retail interiors and events to packaging, consumer products,
lighting, furniture, and home accessories. He has developed
innovative concepts for the renowned international brands
Artecnica, B&B Italia, Boffi, Calvin Klein, Cappellini,
Estée Lauder, Missoni, and Tods, while continuing
his commitment to sustainable design in the developing
world through his association with non-profit organizations
like Aid to Artisans and the Nature Conservancy. Burk's
work has been published and exhibited internationally.
He is a member of the Cologne Furniture Fair international
trend board and a recipient of the Illinois Institute
of Technology Professional Achievement Award, the US Artists
Target Fellowship Grant, and the Audi Mentor Prize. He
is currently working on a documentary of his work in the
developing world entitled Made on Earth.

| Marva Griffin [Venezuela] |
Marva Griffin was born in Venezuela and Milan became her
city of adoption when, in the seventies, she started work
in the field of design and furnishing. She began her career
working with Piero Ambrogio Busnelli at C&B Italia
Company (now B&B Italia), one of the leading companies
in the Italian furniture industry. She was also correspondent
in Italy for a number of Condé Nast publications:
Maison & Jardin, Vogue Decoration, American House
& Garden, and American Vogue. For eight years she
organized the textile show Incontri Venezia in Italy.
Since its inception in 1998, she has been director and
curator of Salone Satellite, a special event within the
Milan Salone Internazionale del Mobile that constitutes
a showcase for young creative designers and design students
from all over the world. Since 2001 she is a member of
the Architecture and Design Committee at the MoMA in New
York. She has been a panelist/speaker in multiple exhibitions
and events in the US, Australia, Japan, England, Brazil,
Serbia, Germany, Israel, and Venezuela. |

| Nataniel Fustér [Puerto Rico] |
Architect Nataniel Fúster is principal partner
of FÚSTER + Partners - Architects, PSC, and president
of the Eco-desarrollos company. He completed his master’s
degree in architecture at the University of Puerto Rico
and subsequently a master’s degree in urban design
and a doctorate in design at Harvard University. His
doctoral thesis is titled The Tropicalization of
the International Style. His work has received
numerous awards, both locally and internationally, including
6 Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects
(AIA, PR chapter). One of his projects is featured in
The Phaidon Atlas of 21st Century Architecture among
the world’s 1,000 best buildings of the 21st century,
this being the first time that a project from Puerto
Rico is included in the atlas. Fúster’s
work has also been published in The New York Times
and such magazines as Dwell, Architectural
Record, Domus, Architectural Review,
and Wallpaper, and he was the first Latin American
to be included in Barcelona’s Escofet
catalog. He has lectured in Mexico, Venezuela, Costa
Rica, Florida, and Harvard University. He is a professor
at the UPR School of Architecture and guest professor
at the Polytechnic University School of Architecture
in Puerto Rico.

| Tony Moxham [Mexico] |
DFC is the
Mexico City-based design duo of Tony Moxham and Mauricio Paniagua.
Moxham (from Australia) has a degree in Visual Communication
and worked extensively in New York as an art director and
journalist for such magazines as Andy Warhol’s Interview,
The Face, and Detour. Now he also contributes
to 192, a newly launched Mexican magazine. He is
a former world trampoline champion and lived in New York City
for 14 years after graduating from college. His freelance
art direction clients have included Dolce & Gabbana, Trussardi,
Versace, Levis, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, M+Co., Shahid
Co., Arnell Group, and Deitch Projects Gallery (NYC). Paniagua
(from Guatemala) is a painter with studies and experience
in industrial design. The pair met in NYC and moved to Mexico
City in 2005. DFC Mexico City merges traditional Mexican techniques
with modern design to create objects for home and commercial
use. They are currently working with artisans from across
Mexico in materials ranging from aluminum, hand-blown glass,
scientific-grade glass, and traditionally-cast ceramics to
fiberglass, silver, and gold. DFC is proud to collaborate
with artisans utilizing techniques that in many cases have
remained unchanged for centuries. |
